Transitional HousingThe client qualifies for the long-term Transitional Housing Program by completing tasks set by the Emergency Case Manager, including weekly case management meetings, attendance at Life Skills classes, completing assigned chores, and bringing in such documents as TB clearance, I.D. verification, and entitlement forms. An appropriate income stream allows the clients to pay program fees as they enter the long-term program.

For a period of up to two years, the agency provides:
• Transitional Housing Units on property
• Case management for adults, teens, and children
• Childcare Services and Head Start on property
• Educational Case Management
• Life Skills classes
• Adult Education classes, including GED preparation
• Job search support
• Referrals to outside agencies
• In-house counseling/therapy
• In-house Chemical Dependency treatment
• Teen Groups/Kids Groups
Specific programs and services are provided in four phases:
• Crisis intervention
• Stabilization
• Revitalization
• Re-integration
The latter specifically assists our clients in creating an exit plan for a smooth transition into the community at the end of their stay at Ka Hale A Ke Ola. Throughout their residency here, clients are connected to outside services provided by over 50 human service agencies, both public and private. Medical services are also available on property.
